Multi-Instrumentalist

Al has been a professional musician all his life. Beginning as a teenager in his first garage band, followed by a major in music at Virginia Commonwealth University, his career has taken him across the country to Los Angeles, and now back east to Tampa, and most recently Atlanta. Playing multiple horns, multiple keyboards, Latin percussion, and with strong vocals, he has played with, and backed up countless acts, including acclaimed artists:

Bobby McFerrin, Carl Anderson, Barbara Morrison, Don Shelton, Mel Martin, Cornelius Bumpus, The Tower of Power Horn Section, Kevin Toney, The Buena Vista Social Club, The Afro-Cuban All Stars, Cheech and Chong, Charo, Donny Osmond, Buddy Miles, Chubby Checker, The Platters, The Coasters, The Drifters, The Tams, The New Blue Notes (of Harold Melvin - Teddy Pendergrass fame), Chuck Rio & The Champs ... "Tequila!"

Consider the Following

When Talent Meets High Energy

When mind, heart and soul meet with stage presence, showmanship, and talent, nothing short of musical magic is the outcome. Al, either as a solo performer, or with his buddies, "Tropical Madness", and "The Baby Boomers" brings the audience and performers together for an experience soon not to be forgotten. Tailor made for private functions, restaurants, and clubs.

Yacht Rock, Trop-Pop, Smooth Jazz

How can you place a label on a musical performance that can go from traditional jazz, to contemporary funky jazz, from light pop to rock'n'roll, from R&B to classic Top 40 hits, from country-western to reggae and Caribbean, from traditional Latin to Miami hip-hop, suddenly and seamlessly? It's called experience and versatility, and Al has it ... and much more!

Flexibility and Affordability

When choosing the right musicians, of course, you want to get as much bang for your buck as you can. But when you have an older audience who prefers dancing cheek-to-cheek mixed with a younger crowd that likes to party, do you hire two separate five-piece bands? Why not hire a solo/duo/trio act that can deliver double the fun, and triple the variety for a fraction of the price?

How One Man Sounds Like Six

Al uses 21st century technology to bring you a complete band as a solo performer. With his programmable synthesizer, he produces the sound of an entire band. With his digital harmonizer, his single voice sounds like three singers. Add his live trumpet, flugelhorn, or saxophones, and a high quality sound system to the mix, and he is the ultimate self-contained one-man band.

Become a Juke Box Hero

This is for kids, from age 2 to 92. Al always brings along some toy instruments, and invites members of the audience to come and "sit in" with the band. Have friends or family record the performance on their smart phones, and you'll be a YouTube sensation by morning!
